Simon Mead

Simon Mead is a qualified remedial massage therapist and personal trainer, with a Bachelor of Exercise Science Degree from the University of Wollongong. He is passionate about health and fitness, and is currently completing a Masters in Physiotherapy at Griffith University.

Simon has worked extensively with NSW CIS Rugby League teams, providing strength and conditioning advice, sports massage and first aid at the Australian Rugby League Schoolboys Championships.

He has provided sports massage for elite athletes at the 2009 World Triathlon Championships, as well as the Papua New Guinea Rugby League team whilst on tour in Australia during 2008.

Simon combines a blend of deep tissue and general therapeutic techniques within his massage treatments. He incorporates trigger point therapy, myofascial release and neuromuscular techniques to relieve stress, decrease muscular aches, and assist with sports recovery and injury prevention.

He has a keen interest in a variety of sports, particularly swimming and surfing. Simon is currently available at GCPSH Friday and Saturday, and throughout University Summer Holidays (December – March) will be available for an additional 2 days per week (exact days to be confirmed).
