Katie Cox

Massage/Soft Tissue Therapy

Katie Harders

Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Katie Harders (nee Cox) completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy in mid 2008, before relocating to the Gold Coast in January 2009.

In addition to working within the multi-disciplinary team at GCPSH, Katie has gained varied clinical experience in a number of other allied health settings, including a chiropractic clinic. As a result, she is confident in using her skills to assess and treat clientele with a range of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and complaints. She is passionate about the positive effects that remedial massage can have on soft tissue-related pain and discomfort, and in maintaining good health overall.

Katie has also developed her sports-specific skills, regularly treating athletes of various ages and abilities across a broad range of sports. She currently treats a number of high level swimmers and triathletes and has worked as a Remedial Therapist with the Sunshine Coast Open Women’s Soccer Team, and for the Australian Age-Group Triathlon Team at the 2009 Triathlon World Championships. Having played soccer for 12 years, including 3 years as a Sunshine Coast Representative, Katie has personally experienced the benefits of massage/soft tissue therapy from an athletic performance perspective, and understands the essential role that it plays in enhancing sporting performance and minimizing injury.

Katie is available at Runaway Bay on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and alternate Friday & Saturday. She is also available at our Burleigh Clinic on Wednesday and for Mobile Massage consultations by appointment only.
